Not Funny

Last week, I was planning on writing a piece for Uber about how the United States needed to learn from the mistakes from past empires that attacked Afghanistan. The Soviets and Brits, both impressive military powers at the time of their respective conflicts with Afghanistan failed, in large part due to the rugged and difficult mountainous terrain.

The punchline was that what we need before anybody even considers military action are Battlemechs. You know, huge, 100 ton robots that can crush tanks beneath their feet.

That piece has been shelved.

It's hard to be funny in war.
