I think the ubiquitous "I like these authors, these musicians, and these movies" section on most "about me" pages only encourages the sort of knee-jerk cultural consumption equals personality equations that always strike me as so high-school.

But doesn't everybody want to read clever lists in about me pages?

My new plan is to come up with a list of pairs that illustrate subtle differences, in that I dislike the first but like the second. I didn't come up with very many, and I'm really lazy and will probably never continue it, but I think it's a good idea and this site is all about sharing Good Ideas that I don't follow through on.

Anyway, here's what I came up with, the superior is listed second:

Plank from Ed, Edd and Eddy < Little Wooden Boy from the Tick

Crossfire < Hardball

High heels < Knee high "fuck me" boots

Brak Show < Aqua Teen Hunger Force
