February 2000: I made a post to my old weblog, when it was still hosted by Stanford, about how I was probably the only person there with a weblog -- based on the fact that my site was the only result turned up in a Google search on Stanford's servers for "weblog."

November 2004: I'm going to a conference (or, something resembling a conference) being held at Stanford, entirely about weblogs. A Google search for "weblog" on stanford.edu? 2440 results.

Weird.
