I Am A Consumer Whore
On Monday Klara and I went to a toy store in Urbana called Hot Diggity.
It was a newly opened hipster-ish toy store. I mean this in a positive way, not a self-hating hipsters-are-bad way. They had Schoolhouse Rock magnets, Nintendo panties, giant hula hoops, Ren and Stimpy postcards, as well as a selection of t-shirts that included Jem and Don Hertzfeldt's Rejected.
It seems to only be in a so-so location (501 N. Neil in Champaign) but I hope people find it and it survives. (The owners were really nice.)
Finding this store, and decent radio has made me think Urbana is not so bad.
