Being pretty sure someone you know in real life reads your web site doesn't really help to make conversation. Where would that conversation start or go?
"So, umm, do you read my web site?"
Clearly not a reasonable question to begin with. And then what?
"Umm... want to see my custom content management system?"
More a conversation-killer and awkward pause-generator than conversation-starter. (And it's not like I need any more of those.)
