At first it seemed awfully silly to me that any girl, let alone a smart one, would be wooed by fossils and statues, but then I thought about it some more.

“What is this?”

“It’s a fossil.”

“Where’d you get it?”

“I unearthed it at a dig site.”

“Are you an archaeologist?”

“No. But I help out some archaeologist friends of mine when I want a break from my farm life.”

“Oooooh.”

Harvest Moon may be a lot smarter than anyone realizes.
