I just saw a commercial for a Batman Lego cartoon.

And while I like Legos, and Batman, this seems even worse than Lego Star Wars video games. (But probably not worse then Lego Eggos.)

Does Lego really need crass commercial media tie-ins? Does the current management of Lego think so little of today's youth? Shouldn't kids be encouraged to make up their own adventures? Come up with their own characters? Design their own spacecraft and cars?

In the future, Lego kits will assemble automatically and then play with themselves. Kids will just watch.
