Sometimes my subconscious asks the questions I don't want to ask when I'm sleeping.

It also tends to provide the answers I don't want to hear (which is why I wouldn't ask the question while awake.)

It's getting the details jumbled (the years start melting together in my head, the people, places, and things that change are all just the same) but the messages are pretty clear.

If anything I wish the nightmare was more subtle.
