Tired of people spamming you with “sharing at you” requests in Google Reader?

Sure it says “with” you but they mean “at.”

So rather than that I opted myself out. You can too. Here’s how!

1. Create a new file called nofriends.css

2. Put this in it:

   #lhn-friends { 
   display: none; 
   }
   

3. In your browser of choice use nofriends.css as your preferred stylesheet override. In Safari, this can be done by choosing Safari > Preferences from the menu, clicking on the advanced tab, and specifying nofriends.css as the new Style Sheet.
   
   If all works, you’ll now see an improved navigation on the left.
   

4. Rejoice in the peace of mind and quiet gained
