Why I don't have a new computer yet

I was all psyched and ready to order a brand spanking new Dell Dimension XPS R450 this weekend but I chickened out.

See, computers in March will have Intel's Pentium III (the katamai) running at 500mhz. And while this will be a performance booster, it's not all that much of a difference. But I just wouldn't be able to deal with it... knowing that if I had just waited 8 more weeks I could have gotten a faster rig. So I'm going to spend another two months using my Pentium Pro.

And it's really hard to even think about not having my good old Dell Dimension XPS Pro 200n. It has been my faithful companion and confidant for nearly three years. That's longer than most marriages last these days. I'm not sure I could ever stay with a woman that long. Of course, I'm not sure any woman would ever consider spending more than 3 minutes with me on purpose, let alone 3 years.

How did I manage to turn a decent little rant on forced obselescence in the computer industry into a bitchfest about my non-existent love life? Dammit... fuck you for pointing that out. Yeah I know I'm the one who did but you were thinking it you little bitch.

Ok fuck this rant it's depressing me...
